Setting up a price plan using a partner lab

Creating the price plan

Select lab fulfilled products for your price plan

Now that you have a price plan, use the tabs to Name the price plan, set up discounts, shipping options, packages, etc. You should select which products you want to include in your price plan in the Sale Items tab. In the Sales Items tab (1), click to select the lab fulfilled products (2), and use the checkboxes to enable or disable the sales item in your price plan.

Quick edit tools - Use the category checkbox to include/exclude all products in that category. Use the top checkbox (Include // Product Name) to include/exclude all sale items. You can also hide all unselected items.

Shipping has a variable percentage option (default set to 0%) which is edited from the shipping tab.

Tiered pricing is available on Sale Items (See: Extra tools for price plans) to encourage a bigger customer spend.

When a lab fulfilment price is created through a partner lab, you will have two options in your drop-down list to select when Selecting a price plan to use in a collection.

Click the "advanced" link for advanced options like giving customers a Bonus Download or making the sale item only available in a package etc.

D2P - Deliver to Photographer option

If offered by the lab, D2P on the end of a price plan name means "Deliver to Photographer" - using this price plan will mean all orders placed for fulfilment using this price plan will be delivered to you the photographer to resend/deliver to the end-customer.

The shipping cost is auto-calculated based on your (the photographer's) address. The end customer then pays that shipping cost regardless of where they are based. Remember that you are still obligated to get the prints to the end-end customer, and no shipping costs have been collected for that second hop. There is no way to account for charging extra if the end-customer is far overseas or is buying heavy items, so only use this option with this in mind.

Use discounts to attract higher sales values. This help article will step you through the options for Setting up and using discounts in price plans.

Want to use a different lab for fulfilment?

If you do not see the lab you want to use, it means the lab is not integrated on your server. You may need to create a custom plan and add the lab to the email notification list on orders - see Can I send print orders to my own lab?.
