PMR-D0679 Germany, Upper Bavaria, Freising: interior of Freising Cathedral (Mariendom) which has a Romanesque crypt where the tomb of St. Corbinian is to be found, as well as the "Bestiensaule" ("column of the beasts") a fine example of Romanesque carving. The frescoes are the work of the Asam Brothers and the altar carvings are by Ignaz Gunther. Here: a detail of the rococo carving - a cherub.
