DSC 0760 William Shakespeare and Anne Hatherway, played by actors are about to lead the long processing through the streets of Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire, Britain. The event is held annually to mark the Bard's birthday on the 23rd April. The long procession winds its way around the town centre to the Holy Trinity Church where the great playwright is buried. The laying of floral tributes are placed on the bard's grave. The celebrations remain one of the few engagements for the Diplomatic corps outside London.
