The Vicar was taking part in the procession to mark the annual Shakespeare birthday celebrations at Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire, BritainStratford celebrates its most famous son, William Shakespeare's birthday on the 23rd April and the weekend of celebrations is held on the Saturday nearest to that date. The long procession winds its way around the town centre to the Holy Trinity Church where the great playwright is buried. The laying of floral tributes are placed on the bard's grave. Britain The celebrations remain one of the few engagements for the Diplomatic corps outside London. |
