Deserted village of Elgsnes, Kasfjord, near Harstad, Hinnøya, Troms, arctic Norway.
About 50 years ago when it was found to be uneconomic to put a road through to this remote village, those living here were given compensation and moved. However, some houses have been retained as holiday homes by surviving relatives.
