 Saqqara Museum Alabaster Unguent Jars Vessels Plates Craftsmanship Ancient Egyptians exhibit in this new museum by the modern ticket office at entrance to the Saqqara necropolis south of Cairo. These alabaster and stone vessels dating perhaps from earlier dynasties and tombs and were retrieved and added to the burial chamber complex under the Step Pyramid built for King Djoser around 2500BC under the architectural control of Imhotep who later was deified.
